Under the project name “School Hygiene” we combine several projects that are particularly concerned with education in existing schools with regard to basic hygiene, but also improve the hygienic conditions in the schools.
For this purpose, we are building school toilets with our local partners, which are usually completely missing, and we are working with school principals and parents, as well as with the school authorities to develop a concept for maintaining hygienic conditions. The aim is to anchor this educational work in the local curriculum and to extend it to the whole of Guinea in the long term. In this way, we are making a contribution to keeping the pupils healthy and hope for a multiplier effect for domestic hygiene. The school in Sanoyah is our pilot project school.
The first measure involved equipping the school with materials. Here you can see pictures of the handover by our project manager on site, Mrs. Hadja Fanta Diallo.
